A uniform fetish is a sexual fetish in which either a man or a woman enjoys dressing in a uniform, or someone derives sexual pleasure from viewing women (or possibly men) dressed in this manner. While this is classified as a sexual fetish, it does not require any actual sexual contact per se. Among the more common uniforms used are those of a cheerleader, sailor, schoolgirl, nurse, cheerleader, French maid, policeman and firefighter. The uniforms may be realistic, or made sexier by for example a very short skirt, stockings, fishnet tights or high heels.

Sometimes, a uniform may be used appropriate to what is being done. For example, someone may wear a nurse's uniform to administer an enema, or a police uniform to handcuff and cage someone. This may add a sense of authenticity to the game play.

Uniform is also Leather, in that men into it wear the usual jacket, chaps, boots, cap, and open shirt, mixing motorcycle cop with marine. Leather/Uniform is one of the terms found in gay guides.
