Clyda Rosen (born in Israel) is a former adult model and pornographic actress in the 1970s London pornography scene.
Biographical Information
Rosen was discovered in the early 1970s by Harrison Marks, who used her both as a glamour model in his photography and as an actress in his 8mm loops which at the time were being filmed in both hard and soft core versions. The films Marks made with Rosen include Autograph Hunter, in which Rosen plays a groupie who breaks into the home of rock star Randy Tool, Dolly Mixture, a horror parody/spoof in which Rosen plays the female creation of a Mad scientist/doctor who indulges in mammary intercourse with the doctor’s hunchbacked assistant, and Die Lollos (a.k.a. The Customs, Strange Customs) in which Rosen attempts to smuggle pornography through British customs. Die Lollos was also filmed in a black-and-white soft core version called Unaccustomed as I Am with a different actor playing the customs officer. A third version of the film, Duty Free, has a different actress playing the role Rosen originated.
In the mid-1970s, Rosen reinvented herself, having breast reduction surgery (prescribed to resolve back problems), cutting her hair short and billing herself as Vietta Manning. Her ‘Manning-era' work includes the hardcore loops, Siebzehn Jahre, Massage Salon Elvia, and Marks’ Tea and Crumpet. It also includes her only feature film role, in Sex Maniacs (1977). Sex Maniacs was shot in cloak and dagger circumstances, by Lasse Braun and an all-British crew, using pseudonyms.
Rosen continued performing in pornography in the 1980s and 1990s, appearing in the German hardcore magazine Touch Me #1 (1986) and in lesbian videos. These include Tit to Tit 3 (1991), Hirsute Lovers (1991), Busty Sensations 9 (1992), and Pregnant and Milking in the UK 2 (1994). Hirsute Lovers is a fetish tape, in which Rosen seduces a woman with extensive body hair. These videos feature Rosen portraying older characters.
