As part of the "Legends Project", Akechi Denki has been recognized as an BDSM Icon
for the work they have done to make the BDSM/GLBT/Leather communities what they are today.

Akechi Denki was one of the truly great modern Japanese Rope Artists. He was a Kinbakushi, a master of the erotic art of Kinbaku. He passed away on July 17, 2005 at the age of 64. He has left us a large legacy of images to appreciate for many years. He was someone that I personally admited greatly for many years. He made many videos and appeared on mainstream Japanese TV.

He will be remembered as one of the four respected Grand Masters of Kinbaku in the late 20th centruy. Chimuo Nureki, Yukimura Haruk and Arisue Go. Chimuo Nureki (b.1930 Tokyo) who with Akio Fuji, founded the legendary bondage enthusiasts club known now as "Kinbiken" (Kinbaku-Bi Kenkyuukai); also among this small fraternity of masters are the amazing Yukimura Haruki; and Arisue Go who was featured as the bondage master in the 2004 remake of the classic "Hana to Hebi" (Flower and Snake).
